Ü-Keramik, West Germany: Vase 1009 with Harlequin Glaze
A vase that is much too cute for its own good! The almost triangular form, the tiny decorative handle, the deliciously thick glaze, it's all so irresistible..
Produced by Ü-Keramik (also known as Uebelacker) in the 1950s-60s, although I have also seen some very similar items made by Kilrush in Ireland - this factory was set up with the help of people from Ü-Keramik and used some of their forms and glazes too.
In excellent vintage condition, with only a small rough spot which I think is a glaze miss.
