A lovely ceramic ball vase in pale colours decorated with a textured leaf pattern in pumice glaze.
East German ceramic company Strehla was great at using the fat lava glazes of the 1960s and 70s in a more subtle, pretty way, as you can see here.
It's a simple form with a Japanese-inspired simple yet striking decoration - a very pretty little piece!
In great vintage condition, with just a small fleabite to the raised part of the decor (see 5th pic.)
