A classic twelve-stranded necklace made of tiny beads of what look to me like some sort of shell. They are pearlescent and catch the light beautifully.
The brass hook closure is adorned with differently sized plastic beads in ice cream colours, which pick up the subtle shades of pink and lavender of the beads.
The necklace is adjustable - the shortest length is 40 cm, the longest 48 cm.
Likely dating from the 1950s or perhaps slightly earlier.
In good condition, but some of the bead string is visible at the ends, you can see this in the final photograph. This necklace is still very wearable, but would probably benefit from re-stringing at some point.
