Ruscha, West Germany: Vase 311 (small size) with Graphis Decor
A handsome 1950s vase from West German ceramic company Ruscha.
The classic shape forms a contrast to the graphic black and white glaze, the decor is called 'Graphis' and is highly sought after.
This example is in fair vintage condition: there is what looks like either an attached glaze flake or a small repair to the glaze of the handle and there are some light scuff marks to the black engobe glaze of the body - please see the photographs for these.
The vase weighs 428 g and is 21 cm (8 1/4") high.
Otto the troll - (nfs) is for scale and is 8 cm / 3" high.
